Hey Annie is a love letter to restaurant dining of yesteryear. Where distractions were few, human connection the order, and respectable displays of excess greatly encouraged.
Our kitchen team, led by Ramón Fernández McGinn, focuses on deep supplier relationships, simplicity and clarity of flavour. Cooking with fire, we honour the classics while leaving room for surprise.
Take a seat at the bar before or after dinner, where we serve up stiff cocktails and wines we swear by, old world and new.
We cook food that is comforting, familiar, yet ambitious. We'll serve up plenty of classics, because they're the things we love to cook for others and to eat ourselves. And we'll offer things that maybe don't quite fit, because why not. All of it starts with the growers and farmers we buy from, and we're fussy about that.
Annie loved a good night. All in from the start, the life of the party, ordering one more drink than sensible, the last one standing, yet the first to ask when we're doing it again. A table full of friends was Annie's church.
Let us help you escape. Melt into the room for a couple of hours. Before sitting down, we ask that you place your phone in a small case, which we will keep secure for you in a lockbox. You will be ok, we promise, perhaps even liberated! If this isn't the time to be fully immersed in someone's company, then when is? If you'd prefer to keep it with you, we'd ask that it stays in your pocket.
The buildings heritage is on full display when you are sat at the bar. Sash windows and the limestone of Saint Andrew’s church create a timeless backdrop. We serve classic cocktails, small brewery beers and a curated range of wines. Great wine tends to be the preserve of a few, and we think that's a shame. There will always be truly exceptional bottles at very friendly prices.
